Dear alumni and friends,
Fall is well underway with the hustle and bustle of a busy academic year. The beauty of this season in Minnesota with the leaves changing colors and our brisk nights is exceptional. In addition to welcoming 109 new, first-year PharmD students, and 32 graduate students, and continuing our strong commitment to excellence and innovation as we execute our mission, we have taken time this fall to celebrate and connect with our whole community.
Two years of the pandemic taught us new ways to connect with people across the world using technology. It also taught us how important it is to connect in person when possible. Throughout this edition of The Record, you’ll see examples of the many opportunities we’ve had to connect. As we move forward, we’ll continue to use all the tools we have to create the greatest connections, using technology and meeting face-to-face.
October is American Pharmacists Month and I’m dedicating this edition to all of our amazing alumni, pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists. Thank you for all you do to make a difference in the world. While it’s impossible to share all of the incredible alumni stories in our community, we have been sharing some of them throughout this month as our tribute to all of you. Visit our alumni page or the college’s social media channels to see these incredible stories. We hope this effort and the stories we continue to tell in the future will serve to enhance alumni connections. Hats off, alumni! We are proud of YOU!
With gratitude,
Lynda S. Welage, PharmD, FCCP
