Barbara Brandt and Mark Schneiderhan Inducted into Academies of Excellence

Barbara Brandt, PhD, has been selected as an inductee into the Academy for Excellence in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning and Mark Schneiderhan, PharmD, BCCP, has been selected as an inductee into the Academy for Excellence in Clinical Practice.
Brandt, a professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Care & Health Systems, is an internationally recognized leader in the field of interprofessional practice and education and serves as the founding director of the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education. Induction into the Academy for Excellence in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning is the highest recognition of excellence in health-related teaching and learning scholarship. Faculty members selected for this honor have contributed to developing a culture of learning at the University of innovation, creativity and dissemination of scholarly works.
Schneiderhan, an associate professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Pharmaceutical Sciences, provides comprehensive medication management (CMM) at the Human Development Center in Duluth, Minnesota. The center is a community health facility serving northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin regions. His expertise is in the management of symptoms of schizophrenia, major depressive, bipolar, anxiety, obsessive compulsive, post-traumatic stress and substance abuse disorders. Induction into the Academy for Excellence in Clinical Practice is the highest recognition of excellence in the practice or provision of health care clinical faculty. Those selected have demonstrated their ability to deliver the highest level of clinical care through innovative techniques as well as demonstrated the highest level of ethics and professionalism throughout their career.
