Dr. Kartha continues to create unique experiences for her students

Minneapolis - Dr. Reena Kartha has an impressive track record of creating unique experiences for her students. The most recent is a collaboration with Global Genes's RARE Compassion Program. The RARE Compassion Program is a unique opportunity for healthcare students to develop relationships with patients and their families experiencing a rare diagnosis, with the goal of developing compassion and awareness for the challenges that patients diagnosed with a rare disease are faced with everyday. She provides opportunities for pharmacy students to meet such patients/families who have worked closely with pharmacists to manage their rare disease and learn from their lived experiences. Her dedication to this type of hands-on education was recently highlighted in a blog post by CSL Behring, a biotechnology company, after one of their employees attended the Lunch n Learn session Dr. Kartha facilitated at the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) Summit last fall.
