Joel Farley named interim department head of Pharmaceutical Care and Health Systems

Dr. Joel Farley, professor, Peters Endowed Chair in Pharmacy Practice Innovation, and director of graduate studies in social and administrative pharmacy, has been named the interim head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Care & Health Systems (PCHS), effective Sept. 4, 2024.

Farley joined the U of M College of Pharmacy as a professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Care & Health Systems in August 2017. He was named the Peters Endowed Chair in Pharmacy Practice Innovation in 2019 and has served as PCHS associate department head since January 2020.

As a pharmaceutical outcomes researcher, Farley specializes in the evaluation of programs and policies affecting medication use in patients with chronic health conditions.
