Postdoctoral Scholar Kate Kostenkova Selected as 2024 CAS Future Leader

The Department of Medicinal Chemistry is happy to share that Postdoctoral Scholar Kate Kostenkova, PhD was selected as a 2024 CAS Future Leader - Top 100 through the CAS (Chemical Abstracts) Future Leaders Program!

This prestigious leadership program supports the growth of science leadership and provides networking opportunities to the next generation of scientists. The 2024 CAS Future Leaders cohort includes talented early-career scientists from 13 countries. In addition to the 35 in-person participants, CAS provides virtual programming and other career benefits to 65 additional outstanding selectees through the CAS Future Leaders Top 100 program.

Dr. Kostenkova works in Courtney Aldrich's laboratory and received her PhD in Inorganic and Organic Chemistry from Colorado State University (Fort Collins, CO) in 2023. Her doctoral research primarily focused on design, synthesis, and spectroscopic characterization of vanadium(IV/V) complexes for anticancer applications. She is also an active member of the Department's DEI Taskforce.
