Bio Summary

Dr. Peterson is a researcher studying the neuropharmacology of pain and addiction, with an emphasis on the development of safe, non-addictive analgesic medications. Her primary research focus is on non-opioid analgesic drug development and has included investigation of small molecule and viral vector approaches. Within the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Peterson frequently contributes to courses in areas such as neuroscience, pharmacology, drug development, and institutional compliance.
