Biography
Bio
Prior to beginning my career in Academic Pharmacy in 1989, I practiced community, hospital and long-term care pharmacy in the Southeast Alaska frontier communities of Sitka and Wrangell. I went on to hold faculty appointments in the pharmacy programs at The University of British Columbia and The University of Montana before starting my current position with the University of Minnesota in 2004. Throughout my academic career I have continued to practice, occasionally as a relief pharmacist at Indian Health Service/Tribal Health facilities in Alaska, eastern Montana and Minnesota, and at the HOPE Clinic, the interprofessional student-run free clinic in Duluth.
Although trained in Pharmacy Administration with a Management & Policy minor, since coming to the University of Minnesota my teaching and research much more combine my PhD training and my pharmacy practice experience.
