September 23, 2024

Haque and Holdaway

Congratulations to Medicinal Chemistry PhD candidates Ehfazul Haque and Jerrett Holdaway for receiving prestigious Male Contraceptive Initiative fellowships!

MCI Fellows are a mix of graduate and postdoctoral trainees, all working towards creating non-hormonal, reversible male contraceptive methods. MCI's support allows them to focus on the research, publish data, and build the background they need to sustain a long career as an investigator.

Ehfazul's project is entitled: Discovery and Development of RARalpha and RARgamma Antagonists as Male Birth Control Agents

Jerrett's project is entitled: Development of Selective TSSK Degraders and Inhibitors for Non-Hormonal Male Contraception

As an organization, Male Contraceptive Initiative (MCI) provides funding and advocacy support for the research & development of new male birth control methods.

Ehfazul and Jerrett's close work with Professor Georg, a worldwide leader in non-hormonal male contraception, has given them the opportunity to devote significant time and effort to this subject matter and made them clear choices for these fellowships.

Way to go!
