Students Look at National Health Policy in the U.S. and Germany
"The opportunity to travel abroad and learn about pharmacy through an international lens was an amazing experience, and one that is unique to this APPE. From visiting national organizations central to Germany's healthcare system, to interacting with German pharmacy and medical students, to visiting important cultural and historic sites in Germany, every part of this APPE contributed to a greater understanding of pharmacy on a global scale. Through the time we spent with German pharmacists both in academic and community settings, we drew important comparisons between the US and German educational and healthcare systems, and were able to bring ideas and new perspectives back to the United States with us." - Caroline Patz, Student Pharmacist Class of 2020
