Interviewing
Interviews are a critical part of a job search process, and with some preparation and research, you can feel confident in your ability to portray yourself effectively to a prospective employer. At this stage of the hiring process, employers are trying to get to know you and ask questions to help them understand why you are interested in and qualified for the role. Plan to set aside time to prepare for your interview by practicing common interview questions and doing further research on the organization.
Interviewing.com is a practice interview video recording software that is free for all U of MN students to use. You can also share recordings with your career coach or mentors to ask for feedback, or do your own self-evaluation.
Make an appointment with your Career Coach for an in-person or virtual mock interview.
