Certificate in MLS
Our certificate program is designed for students who have already earned a BS/BA degree (or higher) and want to become eligible to sit for the Board of Certification (BOC) exam. The certificate program is also an option for current MLS students who are enrolled at one of our academic affiliate schools. These students can earn their first bachelor's degree at their home institution, while earning a certificate through our program. Learn more about pre-requisites and how to apply.
Bachelor of Science in MLS
The BS in MLS is the degree plan for students who are earning their first (or second) bachelor's degree, and who are seeking to become eligible to sit for the Board of Certification (BOC) exam. Students have options on the point of entry into the program based on prerequisite course requirements completed. Learn more about pre-requisites and how to apply.
Professional Master of Science in MLS (MMLS)
The MMLS degree meets the needs of students who already have a BS/BA degree (or higher) and are seeking the Medical Laboratory Science professional credential for employment in hospital laboratories. The MMLS plan provides the necessary coursework for Board of Certification (BOC) eligibility, as well as additional graduate coursework in molecular diagnostics and laboratory operations management. Medical Laboratory Sciences Minor (Coming Spring 2025)
The Medical Laboratory Sciences minor focuses on the medical laboratory testing used in hospitals and clinics to make diagnoses and treatment plans. It is a valuable minor for students who are planning on going into healthcare professions such as physicians and physician assistants with an understanding of the laboratory testing they will be using to diagnose and treat their patients.
