Robert Turesky, PhD, Professor of Medicinal Chemistry, has been appointed as the Masonic Chair in Cancer Causation.

The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) University of Minnesota chapter recently received recognition by being named chapter of the year at the AMCP Nexus 2018 in Orlando, Florida.

Natalia Tretyakova, Distinguished McKnight University Professor, Department of Medicinal Chemistry, has been named a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).

This is the first diagnostic method developed to detect signs of Alzheimer’s well before plaques form in the brain and patients begin to exhibit outwardly observable symptoms.

Pamala Jacobson received the Sara Evans Faculty Woman Scholar/ Leader Award from the University of Minnesota Women’s Center, Office for Equity and Diversity and was honored at their Celebrating Changemakers Awards event on October 11, 2018.
 

This is the highest recognition of excellence in the practice or provision of health care by AHC faculty.

A 1979 graduate of the College of Pharmacy, Scott Setzepfandt will receive the University of Minnesota Alumni Service Award. The award recognizes his service to the college and the University, and to the profession of pharmacy.

The closing of rural pharmacies affects vulnerable demographics, such as the elderly and those suffering from chronic illnesses—leading to poorer health outcomes for individuals and their communities.
