Dr. Andrew Traynor, PharmD, BCPS, has accepted the position of assistant dean of experiential education, effective June 30, 2020. He also holds a faculty appointment in the Department of Pharmaceutical Care & Health Systems.

The University of Minnesota has received a $1 million philanthropic investment from the Otto Bremer Trust to establish mobile healthcare services in communities that lack access to medical care because of COVID-19, civil unrest related to racial injustice as well as economic and other factors.

IV Baclofen, a muscle relaxant drug, benefits individuals who experience dystonia (abnormal muscle tension) or spasticity (muscle stiffness or rigidity) caused by cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, brain or spinal cord injury. The drug is currently available as oral tablets and as an intrathecal solution delivered through a pump into the spinal column.

The University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy mourns the loss of Don Uden, PharmD, professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Care & Health Systems, who died on Saturday, March 21.
